Spinning

Sometimes, I need a book that allows me to completely escape in the story. Spinning was the escape I chose recently, although the escape was a hard reality at times. The story follows the life of a young professional named Dylan who has lots of plates "spinning" when suddenly his life is turned upside down by the reentrance of a woman and her daughter into his life. Her daughter, Spring helps Dylan realize that there is much more to life than a successful career and as the author so uniquely shares as Spring "waddles" while watching the ducks, "Life's too short not to waddle if you want to."
As Dylan learns lessons about life and love from Spring, he also teaches her what it means to be cared for and loved. Together, they navigate some of life's hard realities but they also celebrate the moments when a little child jumps into your arms and you realize that things sometimes turn out the way they are supposed to, when you keep the right plates spinning!
